I was quite surprised to see that my top keyword for this month is Zlio.
I wrote about this opportunity back in March but quite honestly have done very little to promote it. Somehow though I've got on the front page of Google because of the post.
In case you are not aware Zlio allows you to open your own store and then 'stock it' with a choice out of thousands of products.
The point of this post, however, is about keywords.
Another surprise phrase which is 6th on the list of my keywords is 2.5 million rivets! This is second on Google's first page and is in response to a post I wrote last December Riveting Money Making Thoughts. I happened to mention that the Eiffel Tower has 2.5 million rivets.
The point is that it's worth looking through keywords, that have referred visitors, and doing a follow up to reinforce the words. Oh, I suppose that's what I'm actually doing now!
My usual expected keywords are in the top twenty for this month (mike's money making, making money and so on) but it's the unexpected ones that fascinate me like impossible pie which is number 17 out of 20.
Some will argue that these unusual keywords won't produce quality visitors, this may be true, but when someone arrives at your blog, as in life, you never know what might just happen ...
Good luck,
Mike.
