It's something John of Web-Dosh told me about and I'm now trying Voxant out, mainly for my celebrity blog.
Okay, below is one of the newsfeeds available for blogs and websites. This one comes under the heading of 'Odd' but there are other categories including: News (World and USA), Business, Politics, Health, Sci-Tech, Sports, Entertainment, Life etc. Each of these categories has sub-categories. There is probably something for most niches. I just picked out Odd at random .... continued after video ....
It's not necessary to put the full caboodle, as above, on a blog. You can pick out individual videos or text stories. Plus there are images (i.e. photos), press releases and so on, for which you can get paid.
Voxant make their money through advertising and there is some form of ad attached to whatever it is you embed on your blog/website.
Now the commission may not sound over generous. Payment is based on a guaranteed CPM (cost per thousand). The interesting thing, however, could be the fact that other blogs, who see your video, image, text etc., can also embed this on their own sites (without being members). Commission is paid to you on these as well (at a lower CPM). There is an embed button that makes this easy for other people to do.
Details of the commission rates can be seen here and there is an explanation of how you can earn, by others embedding material seen on your blog, here.
Unfortunately there is nothing to be earned by introducing new members to Voxant. I guess, therefore, I shouldn't really be bothering to write this post!
First Impressions
It interested me because, as I said earlier, I think it could be okay for my celebrity blogs. I've seen how videos and photos of celebs get copied from blog to blog. If I started one of these chains I can see how it could spread and possibly become a money maker.
It's all theory for now but I'll keep you updated on my Money Making Weekly Reports as to how much income (if any!) Voxant makes me.
Below is an example of a Britney Spears news item on video. The singer was recently accused of hitting a parked car and driving away.
All I can say at this stage is that it initially looks okay. The proof of the pudding, as they say, will be in the eating. I'll get back to you once I've had a proper taste.
Good luck,
Mike.
