Kate Middleton And Making Money With Zlio

Experiment - please ignore this paragraph! The photo on the right is of Kate Middleton who has recently split from Prince William. The news was broken by The Sun newspaper. It appears that friends of Kate Middleton are quoted as saying, "As far as Kate is concerned, William simply hasn’t been paying her enough attention." Experiment over!

Moving on to what this blog is supposed to be all about - money making!

I have been looking again at Zlio. I first mentioned this a month ago but haven't done anything else to make it work in practice.

To recap this is a program where you can set up your own free shop/store and stock it with your own choice of products. It doesn't take any HTML knowledge but does take time to do it all properly.

I have had another go at setting up my store but I'm still not over pleased with how it looks. The only good thing is that I've now stocked the shop with over 120 products, so that's a step in the right direction.

I feel that a store is a good idea if your blog is dedicated to a specific theme. Supposing it was about photography, for example, you could then stock your shop full of cameras and photographic equipment. Your visitors would then most likely be interested in what was on offer - providing you could get them to click on the relevant link.

As well as getting variable commission on sales made, there are also further earnings possible by referring others to Zlio. This is paid out on two levels. You get 10% of whatever your introductions earn, plus a further 5% of the earnings of the people they introduce.

This system, though not to everyone's liking, can be profitable - at least in theory.

Introduce say 5 people and you are on 50% (5 x 10%) of what an average Zlio shop should earn. If they in turn introduce 2 people each then you should (in theory!) make another 50% (5 x 2 x 5%). You are now making money for doing nothing!

It's all theoretical, but I have been involved with similar payment structures in the past and done reasonably well from them. This isn't to say that the same will apply to Zlio!

With shops/stores such as Zlio, or Amazon's aStore, success is based on getting visitors to look at the products and this is where you need to put on your thinking caps!

Good luck,
Mike.
