Thank You Links For November -

thank-youAnother month so time to say thank you for all of your visits and/or referrals during November.

The Top Five Blogs sending referrals to MMMM were:

1. cashquests.com
Kumiko wrote a very positive post about MMMM and this brought a lot of referrals. The thing about Kumiko's blog is that it is controversial and opinionated but never dull. Her post titled 'WidgetBucks Is Run By Monkeys' emphasises this point. I think she got her figures a little skew-whiff in the article but she says what she thinks. No wishy-washy sitting on the fence.

2. Make Money Fa$t
Rob is always in my top five. A genuine guy from New Zealand who wants to make a million dollars and, with his positive attitude, he'll no doubt succeed.

3. Blog About Your Blog
Another of my favourites. We started our blogs at about the same time and it's been interesting watching BAYB grow and develop into the success it is today.

4. Money Money Money
Money Money Money is another of my regular top five entries. I reckon from the title you can guess what it's all about.

5. Web-Dosh
'An Investigation into whether the Internet can be used to make money' is the strap line. And do you know what? I reckon it can!

Each month my Top Five Blogs are listed in the left hand side column.

I always get a few surpises as to where referrals come from. Last month I had unexpected good responses from Netvibes, and StumbleUpon without doing anything.

The MMMM Top 10 Keywords for the month were: money making, making money, voxant, adultfriendfinder, mike perry, mikes money making, mikes money making mission, money making blogs, shoppingads and wealth toolbox. Pretty much as expected.

Thank you to everyone who has had anything to do with this blog - it's appreciated very much.

Good luck,
Mike.

A Thank You Biscuit - Or Is It A Cookie?

Thank you biscuit (cookie)As it's a new month tomorrow - and don't they come around quickly - a few 'thank you' links.

Firstly to the Top Five Blog Referrers for October. By this I mean other blogs who have sent me traffic. Okay, here they are.

1. Make Money Fa$t
My New Zealand mate, Rob, runs this excellent blog. It's always a good read. Recently he set himself a challenge to make $500 from blogging in five days. He didn't quite hit his target but did manage a healthy $459.79. If he tries again in the future I'm sure he'll hit the target and more besides. He has the right positive approach to blogging.

2. Active Duty Military Money and Matters
This gentleman is a is a 'LTJG in the Uniformed Service. He is not a financial advisor, however, he has a lot advice on money due to his life experiences.' Vause regularly appears in my Top Five Referrers.

3. Web-Dosh
Another regular in my Top Five and the blog is described as 'an investigation into whether ther Internet can be used to make money.' And, of course, we know that it can!

4. Money Money Money
I don't know a lot about this blog's author other than what she writes on her profile page: 'I'm a British female who loves blogging. Am interested in money, fashion and books, hence my blogs!' Mmmm, I see the logic in this - think I must get my wife blogging!

5. Internet Bazaar Tips.
Another money making blog with posts on making money online and with blogging. I notice that the first couple of posts, on the blog, aren't loading properly. Hopefully this'll be corrected if you decide to visit.

The Top Five will be entered in the left hand side column for all of November.

It's interesting, well it is to me, that all five blogs are about making money and are all on Blogspot. What does that say? Goodness knows - sometimes it's possible to analyse everything too much!

Besides search engines the other top five referrers to this blog for October have been:

1. Blog Mad. Not too sure why I've started getting hits from here. It's a traffic exchange program which I joined way back when I first started blogging. I haven't been to the site for ages. Just a quick point about traffic exchanges - it's against Google 'rules' to use these if you have AdSense on your site.

2. StumbleUpon
I'm sure most readers know all about StumbleUpon. As they say: 'It helps you discover and share great websites.'

3. sphinn
Not something I have ever joined but I get a visitors from here. Their website description: 'Internet Marketing News & Discussion Forums.'

4. Instant Hypnosis
This is a strange one. I wrote a sponsored post for them through PayPerPost and now I'm getting referrals from their site. See - nothing wrong with sponsored posts!

5. Webtrh
This blog has been mentioned on this Czech forum and I've had some traffic as a consequence. Unfortunately I can't read the website as I don't understand their language.

The above shows how, once you have established a blog, traffic can arrive from the most unexpected sources.

Regarding links in general they are now on my Blog Links page - all welcome.

Good luck for November,
Mike.

Thank You Links Plus Adbrite

It seems a while since I published a few Thank You Links.

My thanks, therefore, to the Five Top Blogs that referred traffic to me over the last four weeks:

1. Blog About Your Blog
I've written many times about this excellent blog - it's all about, as the name suggests, blogging about your blog. Some excellent posts and writers, always worth a read.

2. Active Duty Military Money & Matters
This is mainly aimed at the military but there is also some general financial advice. Written by Vause who is a LTJG in the Uniformed Service - must admit I'm not sure as to what an LTJG actually is. However he offers 'advice on money due to his life experiences.'

3. The Million Dollar Experiment Down Under
Another of my regular referrers and a blog I try to read as often as possible. Rob is from New Zealand and is on his way to a million.

4. Web-Dosh
Described as 'an investigation to see if the Internet can be used to make money.'

5. Affiliate Outlook
Antonio is from Florida. He writes, 'I could no longer take the abuse that comes along with the traditional corporate job, so I started my own publishing/web-design business along with two of my associates.' The blog is about affiliate marketing strategies, techniques and tips.

My thanks to everyone who has linked to this blog.

On my last Money Making Weekly Report I wrote that I wasn't going to use Adbrite any more as it wasn't working for me. Tom suggested I had a look at the Adbrite Inline Ads before I wrote them off completely. He has written an informative post on this subject: Inline Ad Alternatives. See what you think, if you are not already involved.

Tom has also written a post about Adbrite itself: AdBrite - A Well Paying Ad Network. His opinion perhaps differs from my own but it's best to always look at several views before deciding on a particular money making program.

It would be interesting to know how others have got on with AdBrite.

Good luck,
Mike.

Thank You Links

This week my Thank You Links are to readers who have kindly left comments. I picked out a few at random. Thanks though to everyone who visits this blog - lurkers are welcome!

the old vicSeth Godin Sinks the Squidoo Spammers
I wrote a little about Squidoo and the old vic, who describes himself as a hermit philosopher, left an interesting comment. It seems he has had correspondence with Seth Godin, Squidoo founder. The link above is to the relevant post so you can read what Seth has to say.

The Million Dollar Experiment Down Under
Rob left a positive comment to my post It's all About Money Making Cycles. But that's what you'd expect from Rob, he's a positive person and he's on his way to a million. The link is to his blog.

Rachel-ish
Straight after Rob's comment came Rachel's. I nearly didn't give her a link, though, as she mentioned the dreaded word Christmas - I'm still waiting for a decent summer! But she sounds a nice person so I forgave her. She's set herself some good goals - and yes, Rachel, I did hone in on number 3 - sorry! Success follows people who list their goals.

Rupert's World of Blog
Roo wrote a comment about Amazon following my last Money Making Weekly report. He gave a tip about getting more Amazon sales. In his words he 'posted a list of the items that had sold through my amazon associate links on my blog making the list actual links to amazon using my affiliate ID. I was very pleased to see these actually produced traffic to my blog.'

Blogging Fingers.
Matt Jones has an excellent blog with 'blogging ideas, tips, creativity and money making strategies for blogs.' Well worth a visit.

Gospel RhysThe Gospel According To Rhys
And finally Rhys's blog - just because I enjoy reading it! I particularly liked his recent post The James Bond Tactic For Dealing With Paid Comments.

Friday again tomorrow, where do the weeks go!

Good luck,
Mike.

Celebrity Insider - Photos & News. Recent mentions of: Paula Abdul's new man, Charley Uchea's sex show, Gisele Bundchen's massive earnings etc.

Thank You Links

My thank you links for this week.

The links are because they left me comments - blogs taken at random from last seven days, but my thanks to everyone who contributed and visited Mikes Money Making Mission.

What to do when you've got no connection
I've linked this to a particular post. This New Zealand blogger normally writes about money making on this blog - recent posts on VuMe and CREAMAid but, as the title suggests, his Internet connection was down. He's a talented photographer so he got clicking and even saw pictures in his floor! The photo on the right is Mary! There are eleven interesting photos on this post plus a video. Something different. He also has several other blogs including one on the paranormal. Some interesting stuff here.

Jimmy Moore's Livin' La Vida Low-Carb™ Blog
Jimmy, from South Carolina, writes, "In just one year I lost 180 pounds and I have kept that weight off by making low-carb my permanent lifestyle change." It seems he once weighed in at 410 pounds. If you have some surplus inches join him on his healthy journey - his method looks like it works.

Andrewrevenue ROBOT
Andrew (Andy) Alexander is from 'beautiful' Orlando, Florida where he works from his home office. He says that he's, "... pretty much always online researching ventures to make money from or to invest in." His blog has mixed posts ranging from money making to music. A nicely designed blog on blogger.

Money Money Money
I picked this comment because this 'British female' gave me some useful advice in a comment. I wrote a post about having my posts pinched by other blogs. I also said in a comment that many of them are 'automated blogs using feeds' which steal other bloggers content.

Money Money Money came up, in part, with the answer to this: 'The only way to stop your feed getting used like this is to change your feed to "short" within your blogger template. That way, if the feed is used, only the first paragraph is shown and they have to click through to your blog to read the rest.' Don't know why I hadn't thought of this!

Good luck,
Mike.
